Below is our master list of resources and weight loss tools for your fat loss goals.  If you have or know of anything that we did not list below but that you feel is helpful in shedding weight or for general fitness, please share with the rest of us in the comment section!

The first tool you need for losing weight is knowledge, as cliche as that may sound it is true.  Your mind is your most powerful weapon in all areas of life including your health.  The more you understand and learn about nutrition and fitness and the human body in general the better your daily food and exercise choices will become.

As your knowledge of health and fitness increases overtime you will continue to find ways to improve your health by what you put in your body as well as how you take care of it.

To increase your knowledge of health focus your reading and learning on actual scientific studies about nutrition and exercise and stay away from marketing based “research.”

There are many places online as well as at your local library where you can begin to acquire more of this life changing knowledge.  Make a goal of learning at least one new fact a day about fitness and nutrition as well as reading one book on the topic per month.

Foods:

The food that you put in your mouth should be the main aspect of your weight loss journey.  This is the king or weight loss and exercise is the queen.  Of course there is not one single food that you should eat to lose fat… rather you need to learn how to eat well.  Learn what foods are truly nourishing.  This is such an important part of life, you really are what you eat!  So take the time and effort to learn more about nutrition because it affects how you feel mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and affects how you look and how your body functions.  It is way to important to put foods into your body on autopilot without actually learning how the affect your body both short term and long term.

Products:

There are probably millions of weight loss products on the market but the majority of them are really not that effective.  Some of the recent techy products however have helped people out by showing them their progress or lack thereof.

Some examples of this are the Fitbit or the Nike+.  Both of these products can synch up to your phone and send you data on how active you are being throughout the day wether it is running or biking or walking you can see graphical data which is motivating.  The FitBit even tracks your sleep by analyzing your movements during your sleeping hours.

A very simple way to keep you accountable is to simply start wearing a pedometer to keep track of how many steps you are taking each day.  Other companies have also started making activity trackers that are even stylish and come in the form a bracelet which can be connected to your computer to upload and store the data.
